Some of our clothes contain synthetic materials. During washing, tiny plastic fibers break off and enter rivers and oceans via wastewater, thus harming our environment. This is exactly where the GUPPYFRIEND laundry bag comes in. According to the Fraunhofer Institute UMSICHT, on average 86% fewer fibers of synthetic clothing break down when washed with the wash bag. The fibers that break off accumulate in the corners of the wash bag after washing and can be easily removed and discarded.

The Guppyfriend is delivered by the NGO STOP! Micro Waste, a non-profit organization initiated by LANGBRETT, a group of surfers and nature lovers. They combine education with nature activities to raise awareness about (micro)plastic pollution.
